This program has been developed with the objective of providing microcredit facility to the poor and deserving people. The target groups comprises unemployed educated youth and skilled jobless labor. Ensuring gender balance, SBF aims to achieve this demanding task through;
The first component plans to make available credit to the identified folks in need of financial resources to sustain, develop and scale up their livelihoods. The second component aims at minimizing the exploitation of the people by the commercial microfinance institutions through establishment of District Scrutiny and Evaluation Offices filtering recommendations of Peoples Community Boards who would identify the beneficiary, facilitate the transfer of credit and ensure its recovery.
