Peoples Health Program is yet another top priority program, as we believe that Health is a Human Right. This segment has three components:
The preventive component aims to create awareness and inculcate preventive behaviors among the masses towards the avoidable diseases. This is partially achieved through organizing a number of free medical camps and massive health awareness campaigns. We plan to establish chain of preventive primary care services.
The Curative segment aims to provide access to the poor to quality and cost-effective treatment through establishment of Peoples Health Centers, MCH Centers at the grassroots level linked to tertiary care Benazir Hospital backed by Peoples Pharmacies and Peoples Diagnostic Services.
The third component aims to build the capacity of health care providers and will make efforts to ameliorate the dearth of nursing school, paramedical institutes, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Medicines (ZABIM) and Benazir University of Health Sciences (BUHS) in the country.
