The School of Politics and International Relations, in collaboration with the Shaheed Bhutto Foundation (SBF) and the Pakistan Human Resource Network (PHRN), hosted a seminar on countering workplace harassment. The event aimed to educate approximately 100 students on identifying and addressing harassment effectively, particularly targeting women and connecting them with legal support. Key speakers included Dr. Saweeda, Dr. Nadeem Mirza, Mr. Asif Khan, Mr. Riasat Ali Azad, Ms. Mehar Jami, Ms. Hafsa Bukhari, Mian Zahid, and Farhat Ullah Babar. They emphasized the need for robust definitions of harassment, better implementation of existing laws, and the importance of support systems within organizations. The seminar highlighted the inadequacies in current harassment laws and the necessity for reforms to ensure victim protection and justice. The event concluded with a call to action for improved legal frameworks and societal support for harassment victims.
